Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American singer-dancer and actress. As a young actress, she appeared in Broadway role, she was in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. She was awarded an award from the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play in the role of Essie Carmichael from You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh, Tony Award-winning actress and director has spent most of her career working with famous directors and actors both in film and on television. Ashford is set to next appear alongside Kumail in Robert Siegel's exclusive Hulu show Welcome to Chippendales which premieres the 22nd of November. Ashford is currently in production on Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust with Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. It will also be available on Hulu Original on Disney DTC. Ashford is set to appear alongside Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in the March 2023 revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will be the creative team for the musical. Ashford played Paula Jones, the main actor in Ryan Murphy's upcoming FX show American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on the impeachment crisis that swept Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp as well as other main characters into the first ever impeachment proceeding in America in over a century. Two seasons ago, Ashford was the main character of CBS's hit comedy B Positive. The show was written by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. It also had Ben Vereen and Elizondo. Sunday in the Park with George Wicked legally blonde and the originating part of Lauren In Kinky Boots were among her other Broadway performances. Ashford divides her time between Los Angeles & New York. Her birthplace was in Denver and grew up there.
